A HOME FOR INGRID & DEURY

Ingrid's life changed forever when tragedy struck one evening as her son Deury returned home from school. A hit-and-run motorcycle accident left Deury quadriplegic, shattering his dreams and altering their lives irrevocably. Ingrid sacrificed everything - her job, savings, and home - to keep her son alive, but it was never enough. Her husband, unable to bear the weight of their circumstances, left her to care for Deury alone. Now, Deury hasn't left his bed in years. Let's come together to help Ingrid and Deury enjoy a better quality of life. We may not change the world, but we can make a difference for this one mother and son.

Donors from Voluntour spent a day in the Dominican Republic, refreshing and completely repainting a school for Youth Upliftment International, which educates hundreds of vulnerable students. They prepped walls, painted interiors and exteriors, significantly enhancing the learning environment.

Voluntour's Mission to Asheville: A Call for Support!

As Thanksgiving approaches, the spirit of giving is in the air, and what better way to embody this than by helping our neighbors in need? This year, Voluntour, a dedicated nonprofit organization, is organizing a crucial trip to Asheville, North Carolina, a region still grappling with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

What We're Doing:

Hurricane Helene left a significant mark on Asheville, with homes destroyed, roads washed away, and communities in distress. The need for immediate help is still palpable as many residents have yet to fully recover. Voluntour is stepping up to ensure that the spirit of community and support reaches those who need it most during this time of year.

How You Can Help: We are reaching out to our community for financial donations to support our mission. Here's where your generosity can make a real difference:

Financial Goal: We aim to raise up to $5,000 by November 13th.
Purpose: The funds will be used to purchase essential supplies in Greensboro, which is logistically closer and more accessible than trying to bring everything from afar. This strategy allows us to respond more dynamically to the current needs on the ground.
